Runway is the strongest single-clip generator of the four and the only one with a mature editing suite attached. Its weakness for faceless work is structural: Gen-4.5 takes text or one image, so character consistency has to be assembled by hand — build keyframes with its image-reference model first, then image-to-video each of them. Runway's own docs say support for additional video inputs is "coming soon".
Filmora is the best value if your faceless format is narration over footage, because the stock route is nearly free and the editor is a real editor. Its AI credits are the catch: the Advanced plan's 1,000 monthly credits buy about two Veo 3.1 generations, and unused subscription credits expire after 30 days.
Canva is the wrong tool for volume. Video clip generation is an Ultra-tier feature, capped around twenty generations a month on Pro, and clips top out at eight seconds with audio. There is no character-reference mechanism at all.
Reelfo's case is narrow and specific: it is built for sequences rather than clips. Ten video models, seven of which accept character references, wired to a script-to-shot-list pipeline where every stage before rendering is editable text. If your faceless channel wants a recurring host who is the same person in episode twelve as in episode one, that is the feature. If you want one clip, it is more machinery than you need.
