AI Film Generator

Three very different products are sold as an AI film generator: clip generators, stock assemblers, and script-to-render pipelines. They cost different amounts, fail in different places, and only one of them can put the same actor in shot one and shot nine.

01

A pipeline, not a prompt box

Script, cast, shot list, keyframes, video, cut. Each stage is a revision you can read and rewrite before the next one spends anything, so the expensive step happens last and only on decisions you have already approved.

02

Casting is a stage, not a prompt trick

Characters are generated once and re-sent as reference images into every shot they appear in. That is why a film made here has a cast rather than a series of lookalikes.

03

Priced per second of output

Credits are a flat $0.01 and video bills at each model's own per-second rate. No subscription floor, and the number is on screen before you spend it.

Three different products wear this name

Search "AI film generator" and the results do not agree on what the product is. It is worth sorting them before comparing prices, because the price differences are mostly a consequence of the category difference.

Clip generators take a prompt and return five to ten seconds of video. They are the highest-fidelity option per second and they have no memory between calls, so a nine-shot film comes back as nine unrelated clips. Excellent for a single hero shot; structurally unable to make a film on their own.

Stock assemblers take a script, generate a voiceover, and cut matching clips from a royalty-free library. Nothing is generated. They are cheap — cents per video — and they are the right answer for narration-over-footage formats. They cannot show you anything that is not already in the library.

Pipelines run script to shot list to render, holding state between stages. They are the only shape that can put the same actor in shot one and shot nine, and they cost more than a stock assembler and less per finished minute than re-rolling a clip generator until the faces match. Reelfo is one of these.

A fourth thing gets filed here and should not be: screenwriting tools. They generate the script and stop. Genuinely useful, and covered separately on the screenplay page below — but a script is not a film.

What the pipeline does with your idea

Every stage writes a revision. Edit any of them and only the stages downstream of your edit re-run, so changing a line of dialogue does not re-render the film.

  1. 1
    Script

One line is enough to start, or paste a finished screenplay and skip ahead. This stage is text, so iterating costs almost nothing.

  2. 2
    Cast

Each character gets a canonical image, generated or uploaded. This is the artefact that makes continuity possible — everything downstream refers back to it.

  3. 3
    Shot list

The script is broken into numbered shots with camera notes, action lines and the characters present. This is the storyboard in table form and it is fully editable.

  4. 4
    Keyframes

One still per shot, rendered with the character references attached, so you approve framing and likeness at image prices rather than video prices.

  5. 5
    Render

Each shot goes to its chosen model with its keyframe and references. This is the only stage with a confirmation gate, because it is the only one that costs real money.

  6. 6
    Cut

Shots concatenate in order with audio mixed in. The video stream is copied through untouched — no re-encode, no overlay, no watermark.

What a ten-shot film costs

Ten shots at eight seconds is about eighty seconds of finished film. Credits are $0.01 flat and video bills per second, so this is arithmetic rather than an estimate.

Read from the live model registry. Script, cast and shot-list stages are text and cost a rounding error next to any row here; keyframes are 10 to 48 credits an image.

Where to go from here

This page is the map. The pages below are the parts of it, and each one goes considerably deeper than a section here could.

If you are making something short — under two minutes, a handful of shots — the short film page walks the same pipeline with the numbers for that length. If you already have a screenplay, the script-to-video page picks up from a finished script rather than a one-line brief. If you only want the boards, the storyboard page treats that stage as a deliverable in its own right. If you do not have a script yet, the screenplay page covers the story stage.

And if what you actually want to know is which model to pick, the roster page lists all twenty with their real per-clip prices, reference slots and clip lengths.

The honest limits

You have to sign in. Generation is gated server-side on every route, so "no sign up" is not something this tool can offer — worth knowing before you write a brief. Signing up needs no card.

Signing up puts 100 credits in your account, once, with no card. That is enough for the script, character and shot-list stages plus about one keyframe — it is a look at the pipeline, not a free finished reel.

Reelfo does not stamp a watermark on anything it renders. The compose step copies the video stream through untouched — there is no overlay filter in the pipeline to apply one.

A "film" here means shots cut together, not one continuous take. Individual clips top out between six and sixteen seconds depending on the model. Length is built in the edit, and cost scales with total seconds rather than with shot count.
